An Expensive Lesson!

Bought an expensive lesson to learn about trust & integrity in 'buying & selling'!
A lesson that taught me not to trust people so easily especially in matters that involve money!
. . .
What a painful lesson to my pocket and my Innocent Heart!!!
. . .
And this lesson is also putting me to a 'test' on how should I "solve" the PrObLeM!
. . . Continue the "Vicious Cycle" OR Break It?! . . .

CNY 2010 Day Four!

. . . Day Four of CNY . . .
This is the Day where many Lion will "dance" at shop lots! This is to bring in "new & more luck/fortune" to the businesses!
. . .
Had a good watch of the Lions visiting shops in a shopping centre!
Some shop owners were quite cheeky! They purposely put the red packets at a higher place for the Lion Dancers to reach for the $$$!
Of course, for the sake of $$$ the Dancers would get them by all means!
Guess what were they looking at??
It was a very exciting show where two independent band of Lion Dancers met in front of 1 shop! Hence, the shop owner put the red packets on the ceiling for the Lions to compete to grab the $$$
. . . And they were jumping up hard to get them! . . .
Then there were some Lion Dancers that were "flirting" around, thinking that they were shielded inside the Lion head, hence they could be a little bit cheeky!
Had seen different colours of Lions in this 1 shopping centre within 1 hr!
As seen above, the pink and silver ones, and this the blue one and...

. . . An orange Lion and there were also red and yellow ones! . . .
Apart from Lions, there were also some stylo Drummers & Drums, the purple-coloured hair drummer with a purple drum!!
And a Young-Cute-Stylo Drummer!
. . . And lastly a PiNk Drum! . . .
Nephew had a good time of chasing after the Lions!
And he was wondering why the Unicorn is dancing differently!

CNY 2010 Day 3

. . . Day Thr33! . . .
Didn't watch much Lion Dance today but only had a glance at one that visited the neighbourhood during dinner time!
A hardworking team of Lion Dance that visited the neighbourhood at 7pm!
Thus, had a chance to snap a photo of "Lion" to make my CNY Day 3 Complete!
. . .
Didn't have time to chase after Lion Dance on the 3rd Day was due to "open house" in my House!
Had lots of foods & one of the main dish was Salmon Sashimi! *YUM*!
. . .
After lunch, had a short time of Mahjong!
Then the Mini Gambling Den started!
! ! Black Jack ! !
. . .
. . . Money! Money! Money! . . .
Professional Gamblers! :)
. . .
Had a good day!
Always had a good time when people visiting the house & with some "games" played!
*Grin*

Doraemon Is Gone!!

Saw these two Doraemon in a shop back in January! They are quite a big Coin-box Doraemon! Maybe more than 30 cm in height ...
I so wanted to get the coloured Doraemon but I did not...
And thereafter, I always thought about it & thinking that I'm gonna bring him home after collecting some Red-packets during Chinese New Year!
And today I went back to the shop but I could see it NO more!!! :`(
Felt so sad that someone else has brought him Home instead!! And it isn't ME!
I think I have learnt the same lesson over and over again!
That is . . . "Being Slow & Late!!!"
There are several things that I wanted to buy but didn't purchase when I first saw them. Then and then on the 2nd visit they are already Gone!!
Similarly, in treasuring people around me, I've been slow and late in several incidents and it is already Too Late when realised!
Haizzz! Guess that is human nature?! Where One won't treasure someone/something until they are Gone ... Then... Regret!
Shall Act fast & treasure people and things more before it is too late... again!
. . .
Oh, Doraemon! Where are thou??!

Chinese New Year 2010. . . Day 2

Had a good day of watching Lion Dance on 2nd day of CNY!
. . .
Seen 3 bands of Lion Dance in a Day, with 1 after another!

This Lion was rather different than the other two, from the appearance to the rhythm of the drum beat! More like a 'Rock style Lion'
. . . Vegie in The Lion's Mouth! . . .
. . . The Most Stylo Drummer I've seen so far! I Like It! . . .
Poor Lion Dancers! Have to dance around the firecrackers!!!
Quite Long Hey the FireCrackers!!!
No Joke! Loud, Very Loud!
Next, guess what dancing creature was it?
. . . IS The GreeN DraGon! ! ! . . .
And for the Year of Tiger, definitely can't leave the Tiger out!
Ha Ha, Cute Tiger, with a heart-shaped Nose!!!
In a day, I have seen most of the Dancing creatures! One that has left out is the Hokkien Lion!
This is known as Unicorn! Not many countries have this creature! As this is known to be from the Hakka clan!
. . .
Second Day had enough of Lion Dance but had none for today, the 3rd Day!
So shall I go hunt for one Now to make my Day Happy & Complete!! :)

Happy Chinese New Year 2010. . . Day 1

Happy Chinese New Year! ! !
. . .
I Love celebrating Chinese New Year very much!
I Love waking up to the Sound of Lion Dance on the First Day of Chinese New Year!
The moment my eyes are opened on the First Day of the Chinese New Year I can feel the joy dancing in my Heart!
. . .
Days before the Chinese New Year it is always a happy and exciting time to shop for crackers & tidbits, new clothes and many things for the house decoration!
Mom would buy various types of snacks and foods for the Reunion Dinner and house visitation!
And It will be a 15-day feasting celebration, to be exact, it is actually longer than 15 days as we start eating days before the 1st Day of Chinese New Year!
. . .
I Love the The Time of Preparation, The Sound of Lion Dance and Fireworks, The Sound of Mahjong, The Red Packets received & Most Important the Laughters of People during House Visitations. All these bring Joy & Excitement to my Heart!
. . .
However, throughout the years I learnt that all these Joy & Excitement have to come to an end on the 15th Day of Chinese New Year. Thus, I always feel sad on this day because I have to wait for another year to "feel" the Excitement & Joy again!
. . .
After Mom is gone, the New Year Shopping Mission is left to Dad & Us to accomplish!
And the joy that once filled my heart during Chinese New Year Celebration is No Longer Complete . . . without Mom!
. . .
. . . Nevertheless, Chinese New Year Celebration still brings some Joy to my Little Heart although it is Not Complete Like Before! . . .
. . .
Happy Chinese New Year!

Some Reflection . . .

Have been reflecting on the "Stages of Life", or to be precise, my heart, unintentionally, has been "analysing" the different stages of life. Here are some results drawn:
  • From foetus to baby, toddler, childhood, adolescent and even to young adulthood, individuals at these stages are mainly ASKING & SEEKING (RECEIVING STAGE) - be it for "Invisible (Love, Care, Attention) or Visible (toys, clothes, money) things"! Although at times individuals at these stages can Give (both the Invisible & Visible "things") but they are more incline to Receive! And Parents are always more than willing to give their child the best of the best! BUT . . . would the child knows how to appreciate their parents' Love & Sacrifice?! Surely, they do know that they are loved and at times able to reciprocate but they May Not be that Determined or Inclined to Reciprocate the Love & Care!
  • At the stage of young adulthood to 30-40s, individuals would be working hard to earn the most as well as to enjoy life with friends and busy settling down with their own new family and . . . what about their parents? This, too, is a Receiving Stage!
  • Only when "tragedy" happens or when the individuals hit the "Older Stages of Life" or when they are in parenthood, they would know how to Appreciate & LOVE their parents & close ones, Learn to Give more than to Receive or Make wiser decisions! But sometimes, it is already TOO LATE . . . !
. . . # 1 . . .
Had a chat with some family's friend, the husband had an accident few nights ago. The moment the car slammed onto his side of car, he thought he was gonna "be finished"! Thank God that he did not have life-threatening injuries but is very much traumatised! [Nowadays, drivers are very irresponsible and unethical, they drink and drive or they speed all the way thinking that they are a professional drivers & accident-proof!]. The husband was driving carefully but it was the alcohol-consumed driver that sped and caused the accident! Thus, a careful driver is no longer safe on the road that shares with unethical & irresponsible drivers! From this incident, he knew that life is Really Fragile & he said to his family & us "to enjoy life, appreciate others and do what you can while you can as we will never know what would happen tomorrow!". This, I understood, too, but need constant self-reminders!
. . . # 2 . . .
Children (including myself) always think that parents are against what they do when parents disapprove them from doing certain things! But little do the children know what their parents do are for their good! . . . Now, only can I truly understand this! But it is Too Late! . . . For instant, a friend's teenage child insist to go out on weekday's night for cell group during school semester. And he was not home by 10:20 pm! But what could the parents do as children of these days are more "free" (or mind me of my strong word "more rebellious & pampered"). Little do the child know how worried are his parents, as his dad just had an accident and surely clouds of negative thoughts would come to his mind!
. . .
It is only when negative incidents had happened then would one realised & understand more about certain things that one would think otherwise before the incidents! And many times, it is already Too Late!
. . .
Only if children, at a young age, can understand, appreciate & reciprocate their parents' love before it is Too Late!
. . .
Only if . . . Then this world would have less sorrows and more Love & Joy in people's life!
